Winter is almost here! Last chance to book your 2025 Lumi trip
Lumi Experiences trips for the 2025 cross-country ski season are nearly full or already sold out. If you're interested in a Lumi ski trip for the winter ahead, there are just one or two rooms left on a handful of trips – see the trips below and reach out to secure your spot while there is still space: info@lumiexperiences.com This is the last chance to sign up for a 2025 Lumi trip!
On the Marcialonga & King Ludwig trip this January (only 1 room left!), experience the skiing and winter cultures in Italy, Austria and Germany. Stay in three different contemporary, yet traditional trail-side hotels during this 10 day trip. In Italy, learn to make Italian apple strudel, with olive oil instead of butter. In Austria, try your hand at Eisstockschießen – Austrian curling – on the ice rink in front of your hotel in Seefeld. In Germany, celebrate your accomplishments with a refreshing beverage of your choice: how about a Bavarian beer brewed at a local monastery? Or Austrian Zirbenschnaps? Skiers on this trip have the option of skiing two Worldloppet marathons, on their way to becoming Worldloppet Masters.
Prefer to only unpack once during your ski vacation? On the France-Jura trip this February (only 1 room left!), stay at a traditional hotel in a French village surrounded by groomed cross-country ski trails. Experience the variety of skiing in the area, including biathlon, as you wind your way through forests and towns. The Jura Mountains’ location on the French-Swiss border make for unparalleled wine and cheese tasting, both on and off the trails. As it turns out, essentially every trail in the Jura leads to a warm hut serving French cuisine and your trip leaders already have reservations for many lunches together. Several guests have enjoyed dove-tailing this trip with the Marcialonga & King Ludwig trip, or simply joining the Lumi group in Germany for the King Ludwig events the week before the Transju ski marathon in France. Ask about this option if you're interested.
How about a ski trip later in the season? Pack your sunscreen for Austrian and Swiss sunshine in March on the Seefeld & Engadin trip. In Seefeld, the ski trails are world-class and you can ski to warm huts serving Austrian treats like freshly baked apple strudel. Continue to more trailside accommodations in Switzerland’s scenic Engadin Valley, which offer a variety of ski routes through the surrounding villages. Take the world's first cog railway funicular to the top of a mountain for a birds-eye view of the valley below surrounded by snowy Swiss Alps, before sledding back down on traditional Swiss wooden Rodels. If you like to skate ski, the optional Engadin ski marathon is a first-time Worldloppet skier's favorite.
If you’re a World Cup fan, you can’t miss the World Championships this winter in Trondheim, Norway (save $300 for Week 1!). Only once every two years, and very rarely in Norway, the 2025 World Champs are going to be the big event of the World Cup season. Did you know it’s going to be the first year men and women skiers are racing all the same distances? Cheer for your favorite athletes racing at the Granåsen Ski Centre with special insights from Olympians Holly Brooks and Garrott Kuzzy. Get out for plenty of skiing yourself to discover the trails around Trondheim with your local trip leader and former Norwegian biathlete Linda. Spend some evenings exploring Norway’s 3rd largest city, Trondheim, with a boat ride along the Fjord followed by dinner at one of the acclaimed “new Nordic” restaurants. We’re offering $300 off Week 1 until Friday, November 15 (plus a portion of proceeds benefit the National Nordic Foundation!), and we only have a couple more spots open for Week 2.
Where do you want to ski this winter? Let us know and we’ll send you an itinerary so you can get a better sense for the trip experience and secure your spot while there is still space: info@lumiexperiences.com We look forward to hearing from you!
