Check out the line-up of trips for next winter, including new Sight-Skiing trips to Slovenia and Norway. Sight-skiing trips are for the skier who wants beautiful skiing, delicious cuisine & cultural experiences during their vacation, but without any ski racing.

Hopefully the following guide to our 2025 trips helps give a sense for the unique cultural experiences and skiing on each Lumi trip:

For the skier who loves festivities and the World Cup

Tour de Ski: World Cup Trip
January 2 - 9, 2025

Celebrate the start of 2025 from the village of Cavalese, Italy as you cheer for your favorite athletes competing in the Tour de Ski. Ski two of our favorite Italian trail networks known for their trailside cuisine, Aperol spritzes and après-ski culture.

Experience the best of cross-country skiing in Europe at two world-class destinations: Seefeld & Seiser Alm. There is no ski racing on this trip, just contemporary accommodations, kilometers of trails with mountain views, and cozy trailside huts serving traditional Italian & Austrian food.

For the Worldloppet skier

Dolomitenlauf & Marcialonga: Worldloppet Trip
January 17 - 27, 2025

Ski two Worldloppet ski marathons on back-to-back weekends in Austria & Italy. Warm up with the Dolomitenlauf that attracts hundreds of local skiers to the mountain village of Obertilliach before skiing the festive Marcialonga along with 7,000+ other skiers from around the world.

For the skier who wants to celebrate with a post-race Bavarian lager

Marcialonga & King Ludwig: Worldloppet Trip
January 24 - February 3, 2025

Spend 10 days skiing in Italy, Austria and Germany while staying in contemporary, yet traditional hotels. Ski two Worldloppets on consecutive weekends and celebrate with a refreshing post-race beverage of your choice: how about a Bavarian beer brewed at a local monastery?

For the Francophile who wants to savor local cheeses & wines

France-Transju: Worldloppet Trip
February 3 - 10, 2025

The Jura Mountains’ location on the French-Swiss border makes for unparalleled wine and cheese tasting, both on and off the trails. Stay in a rural village surrounded by groomed trails that wind their way through forests and towns to warm huts serving French cuisine.

For the skier who dreams of cross-country skiing in Norway

Norway: Sight-Skiing Trip
February 16 - 22, 2025

Ski the trails around Oslo and Lillehammer while keeping an eye out for trailside huts serving Norwegian waffles with a special sweet cheese—no ski races on this trip. In the afternoon, visit the Norwegian Ski Museum or sled down the Korketrekkeren “corkscrew” trail above Oslo.

For the skier who loves new adventures

Slovenia: Sight-Skiing Trip
March 2 - 8, 2025

Our Slovenian trip leaders look forward to sharing their favorite trails in the Julian Alps with you. Take in majestic mountain views from the trail, explore snowy mountain villages, and visit scenic Lake Bled. At the beginning of the trip get to know Slovenia’s capital Ljubljana and at the end, Venice’s canals.

For the skate skier who loves scenic train rides

Engadin: Worldloppet Trip
March 3 - 10, 2025

Ski the Engadin ski marathon in Switzerland’s scenic Engadin Valley. If you prefer to skate ski, this Freestyle event is the Worldloppet for you! For a birds-eye view of the valley, take a historic funicular high above. On the way to Zurich, travel through the Swiss Alps on the famed Bernina Express Railway.

For those who want to ski the classic Norwegian Birkebeiner

Norway-Birken: Worldloppet Trip
March 10 - 17, 2025

Connect with Norwegian history as you ski the Birkebeiner along the same route skied by Birkebeiner warriors when transporting Prince Haakon and his mother Inga-Laami to safety in 1204. Skiers wear a backpack representing the baby Prince, which is also a good place to store layers — the route is known for being remote and beautiful.

For the skier who wants to extend their season into April

Iceland-Fossavatn: Worldloppet Trip
April 14 - 21, 2025

A trip to Iceland would not be complete without seeing waterfalls, volcanic craters, fjords and geothermal pools. Why not explore Iceland’s rugged countryside en route to Isafjodur where you can ski the Fossavatn Worldloppet? April in Iceland is known for having long daylight hours and the Fossavatn ski marathon has long views — to the town and fjord below.
