The Lumi trip could be the best trip I have ever taken. The personal service [from our trip leaders] was exceptional... The experiences are worth a lifetime of memories. It was great to not have to worry about waxing. The hotels were just what I was hoping for... quaint and homey with exceptional food.

Finland & Estonia Trip

Experience the unique winter cultures in Lahti, Finland and Tartu, Estonia

Start your trip in Lahti, Finland where you can walk from your hotel to the start of the famous Finlandia ski marathon and over 180 km of ski trails await. Off the trail, visit Lahti’s Ski Museum and reward yourself with a traditional Finnish sauna experience, plus relaxation time at your boutique, four-star hotel. After a long weekend in Finland, take a scenic ferry across the Baltic Sea from Finland’s capital city, Helsinki, to the Estonian capital, Tallinn.

Travel to the medieval city of Tartu, home to Estonia’s Olympic Museum and where the Worldloppet headquarters is based. Discover Estonia’s ski culture by skiing the gently rolling Tartu Worldloppet ski marathon (31 or 63 km), a popular right of passage amongst Estonians and a first-timers dream. The event starts at the Sports Center in Otepää, host of past FIS World Cup competitions, and continues through snowy pine forests to the finish area outside of Tartu. When you’re not skiing, step outside your hotel to explore Tartu’s culinary scene and historic neighborhoods.

Add to the experience by book-ending your trip with an optional stay in each country’s urban coastal capital: Tallinn and Helsinki.
