2025 only! That's right: World Champs in Norway!
Week 1: February 24 - March 3, 2025
Week 2: March 3 - 10, 2025 - almost full!
Only once every two years: the World Champs are one of Lumi's most popular trips. And next year, they'll be in Norway! Cheer on your favorite athletes at the Granåsen Ski Centre, discover the trails around Trondheim in a country where skiing is the way of life, and sample the city’s “new Nordic” food scene after an evening boat ride along the Trondheim Fjord.
Continue on the Norway-Birken or Holmenkollen World Cup trip after the second week of the World Champs!

Celebrate the start of 2026 from the village of Cavalese, Italy as you cheer for your favorite athletes competing in the Tour de Ski. Afterwards, head to Seiser Alm to ski one of Europe’s most scenic and renown ski areas in the heart of the Dolomites, known for their trailside cuisine, Aperol Spritz and après-ski culture.

For the first time in years, the Finlandia does not fall on the same weekend as the American Birkebeiner – it’s two weeks earlier than normal. 180+ km of skiing, Finnish saunas and the Finlandia ski marathon await in Lahti. Take a scenic ferry across the Baltic Sea to travel to the medieval city of Tartu, home to Estonia’s Olympic Museum. Ski the Tartu Worldloppet and discover Estonia’s ski culture. Book-end your trip with an optional stay in each country’s coastal capital city: Tallinn and Helsinki.

Ski the Engadin ski marathon in Switzerland’s scenic Engadin Valley. If you prefer to skate ski, this Freestyle event is the Worldloppet for you! For a birds-eye view of the valley, take a historic funicular high above. On the way to Zurich, travel through the Swiss Alps on the famed Bernina Express Railway.

Ski the legendary Norwegian Birkebeiner
March 10 - 17, 2025
Connect with Norwegian history as you ski the Birkebeiner along the same route skied by Birkebeiner warriors when transporting Prince Haakon and his mother Inga-Laami to safety in 1204. Skiers wear a backpack representing the baby Prince, which is also a good place to store layers — the route is known for being remote and beautiful.

A trip to Iceland would not be complete without seeing waterfalls, volcanic craters, fjords and geothermal pools. Why not explore Iceland’s rugged countryside en route to Isafjodur where you can ski the Fossavatn Worldloppet? April in Iceland is known for having long daylight hours and the Fossavatn ski marathon has long views — to the town and fjord below.
